As a result of a mammoth community fundraising effort the village now has its own defibrillator, located in the telephone kiosk on Main Street. The kiosk itself was 'adopted' from BT and restored to its original glory with pillar box red and gold paint supplied by Community Heartbeat Trust sponsors.
With the kiosk now pristine the defibrillator unit was installed and wired up. Finally 23 villagers attended a briefing session provided by the Community Heartbeat Trust and were introduced to DRS ABCD - the key steps in dealing with a patient who has collapsed. So that's it. Fully operational but hopefully it will never be used in anger.
